I am PASSIONATE about achieving College ROI!

College ROI is achieved when the value you get out of college - the income and/or happiness opportunities achieved - is worth MORE than the costs of college. The one thing we know for sure is that traditional residential colleges can be VERY expensive and there are other ways to achieve college benefits without spending a ton.

One approach to achieving the optimal college ROI is to leverage the United States' incredible Community College system. This is where college credits for the same general education classes offered at residential colleges are SIGNIFICANTLY discounted. Many state college systems have transfer and admittance programs as feeders from community colleges to their four-year residential colleges.

Community college is not for everyone. But EVERYONE should determine if they are SAVVY enough to figure out how to harvest community college's MASSIVE ROI opportunity. That is what Vinny did -- and so can you!

There was a time when people thought community college was "13th grade" or for students who could not hack it in a residential college. THOSE ATTITUDES ARE JUST WRONG.

I’m excited to welcome Vinny Jask and his mother, Phyllis Jask, to Personal Finance Reimagined. Vinny's story is a fantastic example of how smart college decisions can lead to both academic success and financial stability. He successfully transferred from community college to a four-year residential university, overcoming hesitations and financial obstacles along the way.

But Vinny did not do this alone....

Phyllis and Mike, Vinny's parents, played a pivotal role in Vinny’s decision-making process. Phyllis worked with me as the editor and project manager for my book, Making Choices, Making Money. She ghostwrote Vinny’s case study for the book, helping to highlight the benefits of community college as an affordable and effective path to a four-year degree. As Phyllis is quick to point out:

"Vinny gets all the credit. While Mike and I showed him the door, it was ultimately Vinny who went through the door and made it all happen!"

In this interview, we’ll explore Vinny’s journey, Phyllis’s support, and how this experience can help others make confident college choices and achieve college ROI.
